Right to Heal exists to ensure that healing and treatment services remain free, accessible, and available to individuals who are ready to change their lives, regardless of financial circumstances.
Our Role in the Community
Right to Heal was established in response to the opioid crisis and the growing need for accessible addiction treatment and wellness services in Peterborough.
The charity supports outpatient addiction treatment services using the RedPath approach, a structured, community-based model focused on awareness, accountability, and connection. The focus is not only on substance use, but on addressing the underlying issues people are carrying and supporting long-term wellness.
How Right to Heal Supports RedPath
Right to Heal is the community partner and charitable funder of the RedPath program in Peterborough.
Through funding partnerships — including support from the Ontario government — Right to Heal helps ensure that RedPath services remain free and accessible to community members who are ready to engage in the work of healing.
This partnership allows RedPath Wellness Centre to focus on program delivery, community support, and continuity of care, while Right to Heal focuses on fundraising, stewardship, and protecting access to services.
Why This Matters
Healing should not depend on income, background, or circumstance — and asking for help should never be difficult.
Right to Heal exists to remove financial and systemic barriers and create clear pathways to treatment, connection, and wellness for individuals who are committed to change. By supporting RedPath programming, the charity helps build a healthier, more connected community — one person at a time.
